General Maintenance TechnicianPosting Dates: September 12, 2026 Until Filled Reports To: Facilities Director Beginning: Immediately Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday Full Time / Full YearJob Responsibilities:Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazardsRespond promptly to maintenance request / work orders and emergency repairsMaintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilitiesOperate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment safelyComply with all safety regulations and district policiesPerform routine building maintenance repairs throughout school buildings and facilities, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, doors, furniture, equipment, and general building upkeepAssists with building operations and eventsHelps ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for students and staffOther Information:Previous experience in general maintenance preferredAbility to work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor work environment)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license requiredPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any directionLifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to positionGrasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palmTalking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quicklyHearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in soundRepetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersThe worker is subject to environmental conditions.
